This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy is an addendum to the Unich Network Cookie Policy and applies solely to personal information that may be classified as "consumer health data" under applicable consumer health privacy regulations, including but not limited to the Washington State My Health My Data Act (MHMDA), the Nevada Health Data Privacy Act (NHDPA), and any other similar state-level consumer health data protection laws that may apply based on your location. This notice is intended to provide additional transparency regarding how Unich Network collects, uses, shares, and protects consumer health data within the scope of its decentralized products, applications, and services.
The types of personal data collected by Unich Network vary depending on how you interact with our ecosystem, the features you choose to use, the permissions you grant, your device and network settings, your geographic location, and the legal requirements that apply to us. Because consumer health data is defined broadly under applicable laws, certain categories of personal data we process may fall within this definition, even if they are not collected for medical or healthcare purposes.
Consumer health data may include information related to an individual's physical or mental health status, symptoms, diagnoses, medical history, testing, treatments, medications, procedures, or other health-related conditions, where such information is voluntarily provided by you or generated through your interactions with Unich Network. For example, this may occur if you choose to share health-related information through surveys, feedback forms, research initiatives, accessibility-related requests, or community features designed to improve inclusivity and user experience.
Consumer health data may also include information derived from bodily measurements or characteristics, such as biometric identifiers or images, to the extent such data is provided by you or generated through optional features, and where such information may be considered biometric or health-related data under applicable law.
In certain circumstances, precise or approximate location data may be considered consumer health data if it could reasonably suggest that you are seeking, accessing, or receiving health-related services or information. For example, interactions that involve geolocation-enabled features, community discovery tools, or location-based services within the Unich Network ecosystem could, depending on context, be interpreted as health-related under certain laws.
Additionally, information that reflects or implies your interest in health-related topics may qualify as consumer health data. This could include content you search for, view, interact with, or create within Unich Network services if such content relates to wellness, fitness, mental health, medical topics, or other health-related subjects. Information that is inferred, derived, or generated from any of the above categories may also be considered consumer health data when it can reasonably be linked to an individual.
Unich Network may obtain consumer health data from multiple sources. This includes information you provide directly when using our applications, websites, decentralized protocols, or community features. It also includes data generated automatically through your interactions with our products and services, such as usage data, device data, or interaction logs, where such data may be interpreted as consumer health data under applicable law. In addition, we may receive relevant data from third-party service providers, partners, or integrations that you choose to connect with Unich Network, as well as from publicly available sources, to the extent permitted by law.
Unich Network collects and processes consumer health data only for legitimate and necessary purposes consistent with providing and improving its services. The primary purpose for processing such data is to deliver the products, features, and functionality that you request or authorize, including operating decentralized applications, enabling social and community interactions, supporting accessibility features, and ensuring a secure and reliable user experience.
Consumer health data may also be used to maintain the safety, integrity, and performance of Unich Network systems, to detect and prevent fraud or abuse, to troubleshoot issues, and to improve and develop new features. In addition, such data may be processed to comply with legal obligations, respond to regulatory requirements, conduct internal analytics, support research and development, and manage essential business operations related to the sustainability of the Unich Network ecosystem.
Where required by law, Unich Network will obtain your consent or provide you with appropriate choices before using consumer health data for additional purposes, such as marketing, communications, or promotional activities. You may have the ability to manage these choices through in-product settings or other mechanisms described in the Unich Network Cookie Policy and in the section below addressing your rights.
Unich Network may disclose consumer health data when such sharing is necessary to provide services you have requested, to complete transactions you have authorized, or to operate and maintain the Unich Network ecosystem in a secure and lawful manner. Any sharing of consumer health data is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and with appropriate safeguards in place.
Consumer health data may be shared with third parties at your direction, such as when you choose to interact with other users, link external accounts, participate in community features, or share content publicly or privately through Unich Network services. Transaction-related information may be shared with relevant parties to facilitate payments, settlements, fraud prevention, and related financial operations. Unich Network may also disclose consumer health data where it determines that disclosure is required to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Unich Network, its users, or others.
Unich Network may share consumer health data with service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as infrastructure hosting, customer support, security monitoring, data analytics, and system maintenance. These service providers are authorized to access consumer health data only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect such data.
Consumer health data may also be shared with business partners in situations where Unich Network offers co-developed, integrated, or jointly operated features or services, or where you choose to engage with third-party services through the Unich Network ecosystem.
When financial transactions occur, relevant data may be disclosed to financial institutions, payment processors, blockchain infrastructure providers, or other entities involved in processing transactions, preventing fraud, managing risk, or complying with financial regulations.
In the event of a corporate transaction or restructuring, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, dissolution, or sale of assets, consumer health data may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal protections.
Unich Network may also share consumer health data with its affiliates or related entities where such sharing supports operational efficiency, shared infrastructure, or consistent service delivery across the ecosystem.
Disclosure to government authorities or regulators may occur where Unich Network believes in good faith that such disclosure is required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.
In limited circumstances, consumer health data may be disclosed to other third parties where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Unich Network, its users, or the public, or to enforce applicable terms and policies.
Depending on how you use Unich Network services, consumer health data may also be shared with other users or individuals as part of your interactions, communications, or content sharing choices. Additionally, if you elect to make certain information public through profile settings, posts, or other features, that information may be visible to the public and could include data considered consumer health data.
If you are subject to consumer health data privacy laws such as the MHMDA, the NHDPA, or similar regulations, you may have specific rights regarding your consumer health data. These rights may include the ability to request access to your data, request deletion, or withdraw previously granted consent, subject to certain legal exceptions.
You may exercise your rights using the tools and controls provided within Unich Network products and services, where available. You may also submit a request by contacting Unich Network through the contact channels identified in the Unich Network Privacy Policy. Requests will be processed in accordance with applicable law and within the timeframes required by regulation.
If Unich Network denies your request, you may have the right to appeal that decision by contacting our privacy support team using the designated contact method. If your appeal is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may be entitled to submit a complaint to the relevant state attorney general or regulatory authority, depending on your jurisdiction, including the Washington State Attorney General, the Nevada State Attorney General, or other applicable authorities.
Unich Network is committed to handling consumer health data responsibly and transparently, and to respecting your privacy rights in accordance with applicable laws and the principles underlying decentralized, user-centric systems.
