Freedom with Safety in Mind
Safety Guide
Unich Network brings people together through authentic, real-life connections. To help you stay safe from the moment you start chatting to the moment you meet in person, we've created this guide based on best practices and Unich's own safety standards. Use this as your go-to reference every time you connect with someone new.
1. Protect Your Financial Safety
Never send money to anyone you meet on Unich - no matter the reason, no matter the urgency. Wire transfers, crypto transfers, or sharing financial info can’t be reversed and are often used in scams. If someone asks for money, investment opportunities, “emergencies,” or wallet details, report them immediately through the app.
2. Keep Your Personal Information Secure
Share information slowly and carefully. Avoid giving strangers your home address, workplace, daily routine, or details about your family. If you’re a parent, keep children’s personal details entirely private. Your safety starts with what you choose to share.
3. Stay on the Unich Platform When Getting to Know Someone
Unich provides built-in filters, verification tools, and reporting systems that protect you during conversations. People with bad intentions often try to move chats to private messaging apps early - take that as a red flag. Stay within Unich until you feel genuinely comfortable.
4. Be Careful With Long-Distance Or “Unavailable” Connections
If someone claims to be from your country but “stuck overseas,” refuses to meet, avoids video calls, or pushes for an intense relationship before meeting - be cautious. Genuine connections don’t come with excuses.
5. Emotional Safety
Unich encourages you to connect freely, but never at the expense of your comfort or boundaries. And no one is ever owed a meetup, a call, or continued conversation. You decide the pace, the tone, and whether the interaction continues. If a user pushes excessively for a quick meetup, keeps asking for “verified meetups,” or behaves oddly just to earn Freedom Coin rewards, treat it as suspicious. Genuine connections never rush or force interactions for the sake of rewards.
6. Secure Your Unich Account
Use a strong password and be cautious with shared devices. Unich will never ask for your login credentials, SMS codes, or wallet keys. If someone or some website asks, it’s not us.
7. Meeting In Person
Take Your Time
Before meeting, ask questions, chat thoroughly, and pay attention to anything that feels inconsistent. If you prefer, use a voice or video chat through Unich as a final check.
Choose Safe Locations
Meet in busy, public places for your first few meetups. Never agree to meet at someone’s home or invite them to yours early on. If they insist, end the conversation.
Tell Someone You Trust
Share your plans, location, and timing with a friend or family member. Keep your phone on and charged.
Stay in Control Of Transportation
Use your own transportation or ride-hailing options so you can leave anytime. Avoid depending on the other person to drop you off or pick you up.
Know Your Limits
Alcohol or substances can impair judgment. Do not let anyone pressure you into drinking or doing anything you’re uncomfortable with.
Watch Your Drink And Belongings
Never leave drinks unattended, and accept drinks only directly from a server. Keep your phone, bag, and personal items with you at all times.
Leave If You Feel Uncomfortable
Your safety comes first. If something feels wrong, leave immediately. Staff at bars or cafes are often trained to help if you need assistance.
8. Safety for LGBTQ+ Users
Unich welcomes everyone, but laws differ across countries. When traveling to regions where LGBTQ+ rights are restricted, consider limiting profile visibility or pausing your Unich account. Some areas may use dating platforms for entrapment, so take extra precaution. Research local laws before connecting with new people.
9. Sexual Health & Consent
Protect Yourself
Use protection consistently and correctly. Some STIs can also spread through skin contact, so stay informed and consider recommended vaccinations.
Know Your Status
Get tested regularly. Many STIs show no symptoms, and knowing your status protects both you and your partners.
Have The Conversation
Talking about boundaries, safety, and expectations is part of healthy connection. Consent must be clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing – and can be withdrawn at any moment. Never proceed if the other person seems unsure or impaired.
10. If Something Feels Wrong, We're Here
Found something suspicious? Had an uncomfortable experience? You can report any user or conversation directly in the app for:
Requests for money Harassment, threats, inappropriate behavior Suspicious profiles or fake identities Spam, scams, or solicitation Inappropriate behavior during/after a meetup
Our team will:
Review your report quickly Restrict or remove harmful accounts Provide assistance if needed
Your safety matters more than anything.
